very well kept park with bowling green, war memorial, nice benches to sit on, picturesque views of the castle keep, and outstanding formal flower bed displays, the way parks used to be when the councils actually cared and took pride in their environment. Well Done to the parks department. Quite hilly, so not the easiest for a wheelchair user, but the whole town centre is on a hill. very steep approach to the castle itself. I don't know whether there are toilets or a kids play area.

This place is absolutely beautiful. 🌿🌺 It’s peaceful, full of colorful flowers and greenery. I love coming here and often take a walk whenever I can. Every visit feels refreshing and relaxing. Perfect for a quiet stroll, enjoying nature, or taking lovely photos. 🏞️💖

Gorgeous views. Perfect for a pit stupor a detour to treat your eyes. The flowerbeds were well looked after, thriving even after the summer heat. Be mindful that it slopes and there are some steeper inclines; may be a slight struggle for those with buggies or mobility issues.

Very nice and large public garden on the Guildford castle grounds. Marvellous during summer time when the sun is out and temperature is high.

Beautifully maintained gardens with shaped ornamental flower beds, stunning tulip displays in April, and a historic Norman castle at the centre. There's plenty of seating to spend a few moments enjoying the surroundings. Other features include an attractive bandstand, war memorials and a striking statue of Alice Through The Looking Glass. There are various ruined walls around the grounds, and good signage. The castle itself (entry charged separately) is worth a look, with a small exhibition inside and great views from the top, but the gardens are the real highlight, and free to enter.
