Paint and personalize pre-made ceramics at this family-friendly pottery studio in Horsham, with items glazed and fired for you to collect.

Ceramic Shack is a family-run pottery painting studio located in Horsham, West Sussex, offering a creative experience for visitors of all ages. Rather than throwing clay on a wheel, guests select from a vast collection of pre-made ceramics—ranging from simple mugs to piggy banks—and personalize them with their own artistic designs. The process is straightforward and beginner-friendly. Visitors choose their ceramic item, select from an array of paints, brushes, stencils, stickers, stamps, and other creative tools, then paint their designs with guidance from knowledgeable staff members. Once complete, the studio handles the glazing and firing, with finished pieces ready for collection in approximately one week. Ceramic Shack caters to families with kids parties, walk-in sessions, and also hosts adult events including hen and stag dos, corporate functions, and cocktail evenings. The studio is dog-friendly and operates on a booking basis, making it suitable for planned group visits or spontaneous creative outings. Home pottery kits are also available for those wanting to continue the experience at home.

My friend and I did a cocktail evening and it was great fun. They run on the last Friday evening of the month and there was a £5 deposit per person to book. Very relaxed environment, we weren’t rushed. Items take 7-10 days to collect. Highly recommend 😊

Nice atmosphere and great staff. Ashley and Daisy were so helpful in giving tips for painting, and were also very lovely to talk to. There was a wide range of things to paint, and I was so happy with how mine turned out. Would highly recommend

On my hen do, this team of lovely people made efforts to accommodate us all. One of my bridesmaids is disabled and they helped to make sure she had the space to get in and enjoy the day. We all had a great time and had alot of fun. I've been a few time and have enjoyed it every time.

My sister and I visited here with her 2 month old baby to get some hand and feet prints. We had a brilliant time, it was really quiet and they were completely calm when my niece made a bit of a fuss about having her feet painted. We could have as many goes as we wanted to get the prints right, and they provided lots of advise about which colours gave the best results. My sister now has a lovely selection of pottery, to use as gifts and keepsakes. Painting the pottery was a very therapeutic way to pass the morning, would recommend it.

Great fun making ceramics with the kids some of which turned out beautifully!! one of those activities that seems a bit pricey buy seeing both my boys 10 and 14 concentrating on their creations for near 2 hours made it priceless.
