From the moment you arrive, you're transported into another world — one of history, beauty, and genuine Irish warmth. The Walled Garden alone is worth the trip; it's easy to see why it won the prestigious Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award. Every path, every flower bed, every corner is immaculately kept and utterly breath-taking. We opted for the guided castle tour and it was the highlight of our visit. Our guide brought the whole estate to life with fascinating stories about the McDonnell family and their incredible heritage — it felt so personal and intimate, nothing like a typical tourist attraction. After the tour we treated ourselves to lunch in the Tea Room, which was delicious — cosy, charming, and the perfect setting after a wander through the grounds. We also had a nosy around the shops and picked up a few lovely gifts you simply won't find anywhere else. What makes Glenarm so special is that it still feels like a real, living family home rather than a museum piece. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of the place. We'll absolutely be back — and next time we're booking the glamping pods! If you're visiting the Causeway Coastal Route, make this a priority stop. You won't regret it. 🏰🌿

​There is something truly breathtaking about the Tulip Festival at Glenarm Castle. Walking through the market while the gardens are in full bloom is such a highlight of the season, wow just wow. The vibrant colors of these big big tulips just take my breath away. ​This is my second year attending the festival market, and I found myself just as moved by the tulip gardens as I was the first time. The way the flowers are grouped together and their colors are absolutely stunning!!!. Those colors are so vibrant that they stayed with me long after I left the grounds last year. The palette of the gardens really inspired me and my work for this year. ​As a potter, I couldn't help but bring that inspiration back to my studio. I wanted to capture a little piece of that seasonal wonder in clay, which led to this small collection of ten handcrafted mugs. Each one was made to celebrate the beauty of this event and the joy of seeing these flowers return every year. It’s a wonderful feeling to create something special that bridges the gap between the garden and the home.

Stunning garden. We were there mid morning and it was blissfully quiet. I bought our tickets online while sitting in the cafe. This was a surprisingly easy process. While walking around the garden there are lots of places to stop and enjoy the space and garden.

We have visited Glenarm Castle Garden today. Lovely Tulips were all over. So beautiful. You can spend one whole day there. Nice Cafe, stone baked pizza much more. Kids will live it.

A wonderful place to visit. Probably the best tourist venue on this amazing coastline. Dog-friendly cafe and an extra, pizza cafe. Craft shops and the most stunning walled garden. EV CHARGERS too. We didn't get to visit the castle, itself. Wonderful!
