Beautiful overlook of Belfast, I'd highly recommend buying an (incredibly affordable) pot of tea or coffee to sit out on the terrace, then walking over to the gardens and snapping some beautiful photos. Practical note: There's free parking directly next to the castle, so drive right on up and through the gates!! Also, being a rain jacket because it's Ireland.

Lovely free castle and gardens with a coffee shop in the basement. You can enjoy your coffee with breathtaking views of the Belfast harbor. We took the bus from downtown and got off at the Belfast Castle stop and wandered through the park to reach the top. Worthwhile visit and you only need about an hour to see it.

Gorgeous castle ✨ Loved walking around every corner inside and around the garden Counted all the cat statues (nine I think). It was great to see a lot of people, families, walking with dogs, and keeping the outdoorsy culture alive! You can also walk around the castle, there are a couple paths. Easy access by car, and there’s 2/3 parking lots

Visited Belfast Castle as part of a group tour and it was a very relaxing and scenic experience. The castle is located on the slopes of Cave Hill, offering beautiful views overlooking Belfast city. The grounds are well-maintained, with lovely gardens and walking paths that are perfect for exploring at a comfortable pace. The castle itself is elegant, with nicely preserved interiors and a peaceful atmosphere. What stood out the most is the panoramic view from the area, making it a great spot for photos and a break from the busy city. The location is also suitable for groups, with plenty of space to move around and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy a mix of history, nature, and great views while visiting Belfast.
