Visited at the start of November in some gloriously in seasonal sunshine. Very friendly owners happy to take through the farm and what they do. We chose to do the walk around the fields, feeding the goats, sheep, and if course cows on the way. Got get close to the inquisitive cows, plenty for us to see, spent quite a while enjoying the views over the surrounding hills with these animals. Well stocked little shop with everything highland cow imaginable, as well as a small cafe.

Right in the heart of the Borders, Jacksons at Jedburgh is a lovely working farm that’s become a real favourite for families — especially during its seasonal events. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming, with open countryside views, friendly staff, and plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. Depending on the time of year, you might find something different happening — from broom making and festive fun to chances to meet the animals up close. There are great photo spots all around the farm, and my kids were big fans of the yellow tractor. There are multiple fields, which are home to cows (Highland!!), sheep, goats and more. You’ll get a bag of animal feed to give to the animals and this was a highlight for my kids who all adored feeding the animals from their wee hands. There is also a garden area with lots of different kids toys and some picnic tables so you can slow down for a bit and fill those tummies. It’s a relaxed, rural day out that keeps things simple — no gimmicks, just a proper farm experience where families can enjoy being outdoors together. Jacksons at Jedburgh is proof that the best memories are often made down on the farm.

I received a highland cow experience for two for my 40th birthday from my colleagues at work, we also booked our daughter on the tour also. This experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Had no problem answering any and all questions. We checked in and had a browse round the farm shop which normally you tend to find are a little highly priced but I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Even treated myself to some presents to me. Unlucky we had quite a long journey home so couldn’t purchase any of the fresh meat! We then went and fed the animals while waiting for our tour time (a bag of animal feed is included in the price of your experience, but you can purchase more if needed), we then went on a trailer ride to the field with the heard of highland cows. It was bliss! If that heard had trampled me I would have died a happy lady!!!! The babies were so sweet especially Master Harold who was just a wee darling also had another baby try to eat my new top and trust me I was letting her. I was very impressed with the over all experience and the ethos behind the running of the farm. It was amazing to see how Jackson’s at Jedburgh were trying to reintroduce all colours of highland cattle as they are all beautiful not just your token ginger coo! I also love the fact that there are toddler workshops for children run weekly. This is a very special place and if you love highland coos then you should definitely not miss the chance to have your own experience!

Absolute gem of a place. We had a little walk around the farm prior to our Highland Cow and Experience. There are a few farm animals (Horses, pigs, goats and sheep) but the main event is the 100s of highland cows; they aren’t timid and don’t shy away when you get close to the fence, which provides a great opportunity to watch them contently graze and interact with each other. The cow experience is unbelievable and by far the best we have done. Beth was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable… this experience lasted approx an hour, got us extremely close to the adults in the paddock but most importantly of all, allowed us to pet the calf’s, there was plenty who were confident and brave enough to approach us. Well recommended.

I cannot rate the "BBQ & Coo" event at Jackson's At Jedburgh highly enough!! My husband and I arranged this date night for our 3rd wedding anniversary. He wasn't sure at all that it would be "his thing" and now he can't wait to go back. We arrived for 5:30pm, after the farm had closed to the public for the day, and were greeted by Beth; who's absolutely charming
