Went on a Wednesday, free admission. It's a small museum so would only spend up to an hour here. Nice exhibition of the towns history and a small shop to buy souvenirs if desired.

It's a great small town museum with lots of different exhibits mostly related to Melton Mowbray history, but not limited to these facts. Some of the exhibits are sometimes replaced with some new ones, which make the mesuem more fun and fascinating. Additionally, during every half term break there are a lot of themed attractions for children at any age such as trails, craft making and colouring. Highly recommended if you haven't visited it yet!

Lovely museum. There's distinct themes that are different to museums. There was a lot of pictures of horses which was nice. A few little bits for the kids to do. My main liking of this museum was its focus on community and belonging and adapting together to the changes around us

Small but so well curated. So many local stories told - pork pies, fox hunting traditions, cheese and brewing. Fascinating.

I visited Melton museum for the first time today with my 18month old and was blown away! It’s so much more child friendly (in fact it’s very child orientated) than I expected. It has little activity stations, dress up rail, reading corners and my son absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was lovely and we didn’t feel as though we had to be silent walking round. I’ve already texted my friends recommending it and will definitely visit again!
