Fascinating place. Middleton Hall and the Courtyard buildings were restored during the 1980s and 1990s. The house has interconnecting rooms of buildings from different centuries. There is also the Peel Museum inside. The courtyard building has a nice coffee shops, and other shops. Plus a walled garden to visit. And there is the Middleton Pool nearby.

Absolutely fabulous day out - really interesting history to the building, and when we visited there was civil war reenactment throughout the site, with traditional foods, crafts, music and weapons. Little tea room \cafe as well as gift shops. Beautiful gardens. ♿ It's a historic site with uneven surfaces, so wheelchair users could visit with assistance. There is disabled parking.
