Ness Botanic Gardens is a truly special place and one of the most beautiful gardens we’ve visited. Every area is full of colour and beautifully maintained, with something new to discover around every corner. The peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect escape. What made our visit even more memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the gardens. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were happy to offer advice and information. We left with wonderful memories and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day out. Hay una cafeteria , servicios muy limpios . También vi que se celebran bodas , tiene una vistas muy pintorescas. Precios accesibles y descuentos para todos los estudiantes .

gorgeous, gorgeous gardens - huge variety of plants & it seemed obvious that various areas would thrive in other seasons, so it must be different with every visit!! variety of shaded/wooded areas as well as open areas in full sun - there’s also a dedicated picnic area and children’s playground. various signposted viewing points with great views, too!! very large space with a variety of landscapes to explore - accessible routes available too, although not throughout the entire garden (early example of accessible alternative path being the rock garden - many paths were also quite wide although this didn’t apply everywhere). LOTS of benches/ places to rest throughout the gardens which was absolutely fantastic (in the earlier parts of the gardens, there were many times where you could see 3-5 seats nearby at any given moment) - all seats had lovely views, and were generally spread quite well which was perfect for those of us who need to rest often. this became a little more sparse in the further reaches of the gardens, as did signage - the main problem we faced was getting a little lost in the further reaches of the gardens. there was very little signage (in the areas at the top of the site map), and with lots of routes to take, unless you were taking the family route, it got quite confusing trying to navigate. i AM bad with directions/ spatial awareness, but there was a noticeable lack of signs the further out you went, and with the site map showing only very faint lines of some of the paths that could be taken, confidently making your way back to the main area became a little difficult. that being said, i’d definitely recommend the gardens - it is clear that the space and wildlife is well cared for, and it’s clearly a wonderful site for the university’s research, too. there’s also a café, plants for sale, and a gift shop, with good variety throughout, including veggie/vegan options at the café. would definitely return!!

Beautiful. Lots to see, children will love the open spaces, took my kids 20 years ago and eldest loved it this time around too! Fabulous terrace gardens, water garden, wild flower meadow all worth seeing. Wheel chair routes but not all areas accessible owing to the garden being wild in places and on a hill. Easy parking. Nice modern entrance and facilities. Lots of benches and interesting shelters, garden buildings to rest in. All plants labelled very clearly. Take the free map with you. I thought very reasonably priced entrance fee. Easy to get to from Liverpool and easy route back to West Midlands.

Tremendous gardens which were a blaze of colours and beautifully manicured, took me hours to get round and will probably have to visit again to see the summer flowers. Also a decent cafe for a well earned brew and bite to eat as well as a shop and garden centre.

Lovely experience, entrance is £10 per adult and half price per kid. Don't e to hot weather at this time the hot food was served till 1:30 pm. Great outdoor garden with lots to see and explore. Fur such a massive garden the kids play areas are very small and not many. Overall a great botanic garden. Don't expect a variety of foods. The garden is open all day but the main entrance closes at 5pm and exit will be through 2 alternative exits towards car park. Positive, great massive garden and lots of places to rest, Ness deck chairs all over the garden , clean toilet located in quite few areas. Negatives the food selection, and food prices. The cat that after 1:30 all you can have was cake and juice and by 2pm they was out of cake as well so pack your lunch from home so less hassle. Positives, great areas, thousands of plants and trees, just beautiful. As you come out in the garden area explore more your left side as it more majestic and magical with a little waterfall and great plants.
