One of my favourite local beaches. Rest Bay has it all. Great sea for surfing, body boarding, swimming, kite boarding . It is a Blue Flag beach. Rest Bay is popular with surfers and families. It has rock pools , sandy beach, a restaurant, coffee shop, food van, surf school, surf shops, marine education for kids, RNLI lifeguards. Also a sauna on the edge of the beach for hire. Accessiblity- there's a few disabled car spaces at the edge of the beach as well as the front of the car park... So great views of the beach. There's a long concrete ramp down to the beach, though very soft sand at the end of the ramp, so going on the beach might be a challenge if you're using a wheelchair. you could sit and chill at the top of the beach on some concrete platforms just to the side of the ramp.

Partner took me here, parking is very cheap, lovely view, sandy beach icecream coffee and cafe....nice day out if the weather is grand

What another gem got there nice and early 8,30am only a few people about tide was in the went down the coastal path towards port talbot nice walk would be accessible to a wheelchair too along the coastal path to get on the beach it is uneven ground thow (pebbles) would be nice if they made it accessible to all

Beautiful during the evening. Unlike other Porthcawl beaches, this is peaceful and clean. There is a restaurant near the beach but food orders will be taken only before 7pm. After 7 you have drinks and enjoy the view. The hoardings on the beach are cute and educative.

Very popular with surfers all year round. The tide goes out a long way exposing loads of beach and plenty of space for everyone. There's a decent car park costing £1 per stay, when we parked there and cafe.
