Very friendly place, good setting, good food, lots pf female climbers to meet. Altogether had a great day out.

Needed a couple of pads to go climbing the next day. They were really helpful on the phone, knew what they were talking about sorted us right out. The guys who work in both the main bouldering part and the bar were on it, the pizza was amazing and they were very accommodating for our tired crag dog!

First time here, very friendly staff who explained everything to us. Very different to modern climbing centres we are used to - but in the best way - lots of quirky climbs, arches, climbs round corners etc. well worth a visit. Good facilities.

Perhaps the best wall in the north. It looks tatty and rundown, but it's almost thirty years old. It is large and suitable for all levels. It can be a little cliquey, but remember, if you're new, some folk will be there most of the time, train very hard and form close friendships. They are not unfriendly, just focused. It is only bouldering, no ropes and not high. Tea and cakes etc. available and a butty van arrives about 10:30 mid week. There's a shop for kit, chalk, chalk-bags, tee-shirt, trousers, shoes etc.

Fab bouldering gym! Very supportive and non judgemental atmosphere. It does get very busy in the evenings and becomes quite difficult to access certain routes. But that is to be expected with such a good gym!
