I was fortunate to find details of the Inniskillings Museum a couple of weeks ago and immediately contacted them to ask for any information available on the service of my Great Uncle back in 1915 at Gallipoli. I have been trying to get this information for several years and have drawn blanks at the War Graves Commission and other such organisations and have been close to giving up. However, I was convinced that there must be records available because his name is engraved on the Cape Helles Memorial and, i was right! Maeve Cadden at the Museum was able to trace his records and a war diary showing the dates of the action in which he died and the medals awarded posthumously. Maeve is a credit to the Museum and has saved me a lot of time and effort by her ability to research it and produce documents in very short time. She is a fabulous person to work with and i look forward to a personal visit to the Museum in coming months. I can only recommend that anyone with questions on the Inniskillings war records should contact her as the primary source of information!!!!

An interesting museum covering a long history of the area, housed in the old castle. No cafe when we visited.

A really wonderful military museum, within Enniskillen Castle. The keep houses a great collection of medals, militaria, photographs and paintings, while the nearby bays offer glimpses into the life of soldiers via artefacts, mannequins and vehicles. Well worth the price of admission to the castle, which is also a must-see!

We had an absolutely excellent experience at this museum. There was lots of history to explore and we spent a good few hours here. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Enniskillen as it is very informative and the staff are incredibly lovely
