Wonderful gardens, marvellous planting, interesting arrangements, fascinating trees. And just a 20 minute bus ride from the city centre. One of the many great visitor sites from the University of Birmingham.

A lovely but chilly spring afternoon @ Winterbourne. The wisteria was star of the show closely followed by the rock garden and the Azaleas/ Rhododendron. Loved the walled kitchen garden too. A bit too windy to enjoy the numerous seating options today.

This was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. This is a haven of peace just a stones throw from the city. The garden is beautiful. We had a lovely lunch in the cafe and then browsed in the shop and second hand book shop

Great visit today to Winterbourne House. Plenty to see here from the beautiful kepted House with period furniture in many of the rooms plus a look into John Nettlefold buisness in manufacturing. The gardens a lovely will be even better when the weather gets better and its all in full bloom. Toilets are available on site and there is disabled access, Ground floor in the main house is a Cafe which is well worth look as there are some wonderful cakes to be had inside seating also terrace seating over looking the garden. Large gift shop is towards the exit as is a working Print Shop/ letter press that has demonstrations daily. Free parking is available onsite however we went by bus from outside the Bullring which was £9.60 for to people including the return, X 20, x21, x22 takes you to Westmere , Edgbaston then 100 meters from the bus stop to the entrance. Great time to be had here for the entrance price of around £10 per person. Thankyou to all the staff who were very welcoming we will definitely be back when the gardens are in full bloom

First time visit to this former home of the Nettlefold family. A stunning house with several floors and many rooms all holding so much interest. Beautiful grounds with something around every corner. The woodland and lake walk was closed at this time of the year but it’s a good excuse to go back when it’s open. A lovely spacious terrace serving very good food at reasonable prices. The staff /volunteers were so friendly. The car park said to hold 50 cars is very tight if you have a mid to larger size car. I understand that there’s a good multi-storey car-park nearby. We were lucky and found a space next to the disabled parking bays. There’s an art gallery upstairs which was nice. There’s a handy glass like lift in the middle of the house. A lovely gift shop next to the cafe and a second hand book store. Check out the printing press’s in the former owners garage, lovely engaging ladies in there. A great visit and I’m sure we’ll be back.
