For me absolutely 5 stars such a varied collection of vehicles. Found it by accident as it’s not massively advertised. Great to see the 2 race cars from the beginning of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A lot of vehicles I’ve not seen/heard of before Whilst some favourites you’ll see elsewhere. If you like cars and history of motoring make this a must on your visit list. We spent nearly 2hrs walking round the exhibits.
This is truly a step back in time and the privately owned collection is possibly the best in England, you will need at least 2 hours to look at all the exhibits and more if you chat to the very interesting staff who are eager to chat about the cars bikes and other amazing collection of collectable items that you won't see anywhere else..although only open from early May to late September its well worth a trip down memory lane..well done Mr and Mrs P.Hill in there collection and continuing collection which will be there fir years to come 10 out of 10..Rob Sadler
This is the best private collection of cars that I have seen and with the added feature of the old castle this is well worth a visit. The staff are all really knowledgeable, friendly and willing to spend the time explaining different things. There is a little tea room which once again is very nice. Give yourself at least 3hrs longer if you love your cars. All areas are disability friendly and there is plenty of free parking
Went today first visit, husband been wanting to go for a long time, did not disappoint, the collection of cars, motorbikes, push bikes, children's ride on cars, prams, and all other bits & pieces in the cabinets as well were lovely. Descriptions of the vehicles on boards in front, & really knowledgeable & very friendly staff make it an absolute pleasure to look around. You can also climb the castle to look out all around the countryside from the top, & they have a little tea room as well. £22 and adult or £20 senior citizen, no concessions, but definitely worth it, they are adding on more buildings starting hopefully this winter as they have plenty more stock to display.
We thought the admission charge was a bit high but we didn't realise how big it was. We spent nearly all day viewing the amount of classic, vintage cars and Motorcycles. The staff were very helpful explaining the history and technical questions about the vehicles. In the end we had great time and worth the admission fee. There's also a lovely Tea Rooms with Tea coffee and Cakes.
