What a fantastic group of volunteers and tour guides, working tirelessly to save this really important mill for us and the future generations. Definitely get along there for one of their open days or events! Really good value for money and the Biscoff cake is amazing :)

Excellent. Not open inside yet (a few weeks to go) but stunning example of a post mill. Spoke with someone doing some work on The electrics. This is a fully working mill (wind dependent)

High Salvington Windmill (originally called Durrington Mill with a 'date' of 1700 inscribed above the door) is a Grade II listed post mill in High Salvington, Sussex that has been restored and is in full working order. Standing at 320-ft above sea level, the mill enjoys the advantages of incoming sea winds off the English Channel. The High Salvington Windmill Trust acquired the mill in late 2007, and had completed restoration by 2009. All the ongoing maintenance and restoration work at the mill is carried out by the volunteer 'millwrights'.

They do a lovely guided tour inside the windmill and if you're lucky, the mill gets repositioned while you're having a tour. It still grinds too. There's a coffee shop and tidbits you can buy on site. All for a kiss.
