Margate was beautiful and clean. Very quiet city too. I went to the sea side and well maintained. I loved that the lifeguards kept announcing for people to be careful and be safe in the water. Clean sandy beach

We parked up the hill a bit and paid about £10 for the whole day. Margate was clean, nice beach. It needs to be posted more clearly about dogs not being allowed on beach. We arrived about 10ish, checked signs, no signs to say no dogs allowed on the section of beach we went on to. Our dog was on lead and we got approached about not having dogs on lead. We aplogised and said we didn't see any notices. Man gave us a leaflet. He said it was signed. It wasn't until another 10 min walk down the promenade that we saw the first sign.

Big sandy beach, lots of entertainment close by, large parking garage within 5min walking distance. Loved the 'boating area' separate from the sea

Lovely sandy beach. The tide pool is super useful during low tide ( but be careful is super slippery to get in and out). Also beware of the mob of seagulls ...they will swoop and steal your food 🫣
