This was quite a difficult review to write. The farm itself is lovely, and I can completely understand why it’s so popular. However, it is very much geared towards younger children, probably up to around 10 years old. If you’re visiting without children, there isn’t a huge amount to do, although the main reason for our visit was the pig cuddling experience, which was absolutely wonderful and definitely the highlight of the day. I had plenty of time with the pig, and it felt very relaxed, although I imagine it could feel a little more rushed during busier periods. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. While it may not be the ideal day out for adults without children, families with younger kids will no doubt have a fantastic time.

To ensure we didn't miss anything, we booked our tickets ahead of time and arrived right before the farm opened. There were many activities scheduled every 30 minutes, and we made sure to catch most of them. These included feeding miniature pigs, milking mama goats and bottle-feeding goat kids, watching ferret races, and even some amazing pig races! There was also a juggling and comedy one-man show, which seemed particularly entertaining for younger children. Meanwhile, there are plenty of other enjoyable activities available. You can cuddle cute little mice, bunnies, and piglets, which is likely the highlight but involves a long wait. Other options include taking a tractor ride, climbing, bouncing on a bouncy castle, examining the small creatures in a pond up close, enjoying fantastic views from the tower, mingling with numerous adorable ponies in an open field, and petting and feeding (if allowed) various animals such as pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, horses, donkeys, alpacas, highland cows, and deer. It's important to note that sinks for handwashing, as well as seating areas for eating and relaxing, are conveniently located on every corner. You can either bring your own food or purchase from the wide selection of refreshments available. The staff were remarkably friendly and helpful, patiently responding to all of our questions. Overall, it's a fantastic place featuring a professionally planned roster of activities that are sure to keep your children busy and content throughout the entire day!

We had great fun all day, even the weather wasn’t the best. It was a good combination of outside and under a shed option. The kids and adults all had a lot of fun and we enjoyed the day and tried some things we’ve never tried before. We attended with 4 children between age 4-11 and they all loved every moment of it. It is lovely that there are activities every half an hour but there is also time in between to watch what you want. It was definitely a looong day filled with fun. Staff is absolutely amazing there and they have all been very very helpful and kind.

Pennywell Farm is a fantastic place for a fun-packed day out, especially for families. From the moment you arrive, there’s a lively and welcoming atmosphere with plenty to see and do. The farm offers loads of interactive activities, making it a great experience for both children and adults. One of the highlights of the day was getting to hold and interact with the animals. It was such an amazing experience, especially cuddling the pigs, which were incredibly cute and friendly (you need to bring or purchase a blanket to cuddle the animals). The hands-on opportunities really make the visit special and memorable. Great to be able to feed and walk the goats. The farm is also very family-friendly and accessible for everyone, which makes it easy for all visitors to enjoy the day comfortably. Loads of playspace for children. The staff truly make the experience even better—they are incredibly friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about what they do. They regularly interact with visitors and go out of their way to help, ensuring everyone has a great time. If you haven’t been to Pennywell Farm yet, it’s definitely well worth a visit. It’s the perfect place for a fun, interactive day out where you can get up close with animals and create some wonderful memories
